Micro:bit card power supply

The Micro:bit card can be powered in several ways:

  1. USB power supply: You can connect the Micro:bit card to a computer or USB power adapter using a USB cable. This will provide power to the Micro:bit card and allow you to program and debug it.
  2. Battery power supply: You can use a coin cell battery holder or a 3-volt battery pack to power the Micro:bit card. This allows you to use the Micro:bit card independently of a computer or USB power source.
  3. External power supply: You can use an external power supply to provide power to the Micro:bit card. This can be a bench power supply, a solar panel, or any other power source that provides a voltage between 3 and 3.6V.
  4. Power bank: You can use a USB power bank to supply power to the Micro:bit card.

The first one, which has the advantage of being always within reach of the user, is not the right solution since it is not portable. However, this connector is of great use in projects where the micro: bit remains in a fixed location.

As for the second, it has the advantage of being more convenient for powering the micro: bit card since it connects two AAA batteries in series. In addition, its small size makes it ideal for carrying out portable projects.
